What Girls In Puberty Must Know?

Puberty is the period during the early teens when girls and boys start to notice changes taking place in their body. Girls in puberty may experience utter confusion and sometimes depression due to the various ongoing changes in her body. It is the time when her breasts start to take shape and pubic hair and hair under the arms start to grow. These are the first signs of the arrival of puberty which may be early or late. Also, it is the time when she has her first menstruation. A girls first period is an extremely sensitive affair that needs attention and guidance from an elder.

During the various stages of puberty, the girl gets rounder and fuller hips and narrower waist. Not only bodily changes but emotional changes also start to occur. Feelings of love and attraction start to hover in the mind. Puberty starts when there are hormonal changes occurring in the body that lead to various physical and emotional changes.

During this stage the emotional support of a mother is the best help for a girl. If you are a mother then you must talk to your daughter about the changes taking place in her body. You must also get her an appropriate first menstrual kit that comprises of sanitary pads, some home made tips to get rid of cramps and few knick knacks like tampons or an artifact of the menstrual goddess. It will help her face her first period more confidently and bravely.
